Archimandrite Philip and Fr Hananiah on Pilgrimage to Tupholme, Bardney and Crowland

There are hundreds of saints in Lincolnshire (of whom we know, and many more of whom we may not know). The ruined Abbey at Bardney was the site of a massacre of hundreds of monks by the Vikings, hundreds of whom are now recognised at Orthodox Saints.

Crowland in South Lincolnshire was the home of St Guthlac, a hermit know as “England’s St Anthony”, and St Theodore whose relic is still available for veneration.
